Change Where You Work!
It's been a few years since I've been working from home, and while it started off great, I've noticed that my creativity and productivity are starting to go down.
One of my resolutions for this year was to switch it up and work from a public place once a week. I've been working from a nearby café for the past 4 weeks, and it's been a breath of fresh air!
When you work from home and spend a lot of time inside doing the same thing every day, you will always have the same thoughts. Even if you don’t feel the need to work elsewhere, I highly recommend giving this a try. It's like a mini adventure every week that can do wonders for your creativity and overall mood.
I had decided to do this late last year and conveniently Joey from Better Ideas just published a video on this very topic that makes the monthly favorites list titled Escape the Cave.

✍️ Content
Not Caring Lets Us Perform Better - A very interesting short read that resonated with me. The premise here is that placing too much importance on the outcome hinders our performance. Michael does an impressive job expanding on this.
History-Maps - A refreshing take on getting a visual understanding of history. This has been a big offender in my procrastination as of late. If you like learning about history, proceed with caution!
🤖 Software
Paletro - If you're reading this newsletter, there's a 99% chance you use Obsidian. Paletro provides a command palette for any app in your Mac. I've been using it the most in my web browser to fetch a web page from my history or to open a tab from my bookmarks. I’ve also made extended use of it in apps like Photoshop and Lightroom.
Tdarr - An excellent open-source software that you can host and set automations to transcode your media files in your home server.
⚙️ Hardware/Products
DJI Osmo Mobile 6 - As much as I enjoy filmmaking, I don't yet enjoy it enough to bring gear with me on a flight when I'm going abroad with my partner for just a couple of days. This past week we went to London for a short stay to see her side of the family that moved there. I purchased a DJI Osmo Mobile 6 to bring it with me, and I was super impressed. The stabilization even when jogging was crazy good and without a doubt, my best purchase this month!
Thanks for reading :)
